Therapy Stories

Christine came to us from Virginia, she came here to attend Texas State and she is now working on her Master’s degree. Christine has previously worked at the Pentagon as a community-based counselor. She plans for a career in research. Her parents were Vietnamese refugees who settled in Virginia where she was born and raised. Good Luck Christine!

Meet our most recent speech therapy graduate – Norma H! Norma was having trouble communicating and trouble remembering things and she wanted to be able to communicate about things that were important to her more readily – this is when she began her journey with speech therapy. During speech therapy, she received a fantastic voice amplifier that made it easier for everyone to hear her. She also collaborated with her speech pathologist in order to be able to chat with staff, family, and friends with more independence and less frustration. Thanks for working so hard, Norma! We are proud of you!
